LA trip: Hollywood, here I come!

Oh, wait, Mommy says, actually, it was Ventura. But I'm still a star, right?

Anyway, we went to L.A. to visit with Rusche family. I had my first ever airplane flight, and it was lots of fun! Apparently, the "change of air pressure" (whatever that is) didn't bother me at all. I flirted with everyone on the plane and ate banana and Cheerios.

I got to see Nana Sue and Papa again, and meet Aunt Marian (she's nice!!) and my cousins, Nick and Alex (that's them in the picture). They are so cool! They played with me and Alex always helped me find my friend Baby in the Mirror.

LA trip: Meeting the family

I got to meet lots of Rusche family. Here I am swimming with cousin Alex...

...hangin' with Great-uncle Phil...

...and meeting cousin Aidan (Daddy says he's actually a "second cousin," but I think I'll stick with just cousin!). He's two months younger than me and pretty cute!

LA trip: Joy the Crocodile Hunter

ME...EAT...CROCODILE! (Papa gave me this really nifty Noah's Arc set, and I especially liked the crocodiles! Thanks, Papa!)

LA trip: The big big ocean

There was so much water on this trip! Here I am with Daddy, going down to check out the Pacific Ocean -- my first ever ocean. Gosh. It's A LOT of water.

LA trip: Beach baby

We spent a lot of time on the beach, of course. Walking on sand feels so funny!

And then cousin Alex buried my feet in the sand -- where did they go??

My first dip in the big Pacific ocean. Mommy and Daddy were right: it's COLD!! I liked it at first, but then the cold waves made me cry!

But that's okay, because I've got this whole California beach babe thing figured out: it's all about hanging out on the sand, the wind blowing in your hair. Topless, of course.

Mmmm, sand....

LA trip: The mysterious and wonderful fountain

There was also this wonderful fountain outside the hotel: there was water, and then there wasn't! Wow! Me and Alex and Nick played in it for a while and got all wet. The next day, Mommy and Daddy put me in my bathing suit and let me splash all over. Whee!

LA trip: I'll be back, ocean!

I had a lot of fun -- maybe I'll come back someday and go swimming in the ocean, like cousin Alex!

Out at Peach Glen again

I really gotta organize my thoughts before I post all about our trip to L.A., so here's a few pictures from Camp Peach Glen!

We went to a livestock auction! I liked all the animals. I talked back to the goats.

Here's me and my new best pal, Mary Kathleen. I helped her give the puppies a bath!

And here's me having a nap in one of the best places ever: on Granddad's lap....

Speaking of sleep, it's bedtime for me right now -- Goodnight!

Into the wild blue yonder

Tomorrow morning we are going on an adventure: we are going to California! My first plane ride! So there may not be too many posts for a while, sorry, everyone!

Behind bars!

Here I am, testing out the new baby gate Granddad made for me! It works great! Now I can't get at all the fun stuff in the other room -- I dunno why Mommy thinks this is a good idea....

Cheerios!

This morning I got my very first Cheerios! Oh man, oh man, are they great! I can pick them up and eat them all by myself!

Dog daze

This morning was Ambler's annual Dog Days celebration! There were lots and lots and LOTS of doggies. We walked right down the middle of the street! Nellie was the bestest dog there, of course. And all those silly dog people: nobody paid any attention to me at all!! Here we are -- I'm looking a little out of it because I was partying pretty hard and late last night....

A visit to Peach Glen

We went to see Grammy and Granddaddy this weekend, hooray! It was nice and cool at night and in the mornings, so here I am, stylin' in stripes (love those BabyLegs).

We visited because Scarlett had PUPPIES! I wasn't too sure what to do with them, really: they are soft and fuzzy and make funny little noises. I liked their rickrack collars best! But we played on the floor a little.

I really, really had fun playing with my best pal Roanoke!! He played with me, too -- I would get one of his toys, and he would take it away and then drop it in my lap again, which I thought was pretty funny. He makes me laugh when he nudges me with his nose!

Of course, I had to go swimming al fresco -- they got me my very own swimming pool.

And then...there was CORN ON THE COB. Yahoo! When I saw it being brought to the table at supper, I kinda went nuts until Mom could give me my very own piece to gnaw on (after she ate the kernels off, of course). Yum yum yum!

My friend the table

I love pulling up and standing! My favorite place to do that is on the coffee table, because it is wood and has nice pointy corners. Also, it used to have all kinds of wonderful stuff on it, like newspapers and books, but Mommy took it all away! That's okay, because now I can stand there and whack the table!

Pointy

Look what my sharp new tooth can do!!

My quilt

I promised Erika that I'd show her the happy quilt that everyone made for me, so here it is! Yay, chickens! Thanks, everyone!

Gratuitous baby

To make up for not having posted a lot this last week, here's some completely gratuitous pictures of me! We went swimming over at a friend's house this afternoon, because it's HOT out.

Weekend in New York

This past weekend we went up to New York state for Anna and Garrett's wedding. I had lots of fun! We got to be outside a lot, so I played in the grass. We went to Cooperstown (but not the Hall of Fame! I think it would've been boring, anyhow). There was this really really big lake!! All that water!!! WOW! And all that stuff on the lake! Mommy and Daddy say, That's Lake Otsego, and those are sailboats, dear.

I splashed in the Susquehanna River! That's the one we drive over to go to Peach Glen! It's really little here. And cold. But I didn't care, because it's water.

Here I am with Garrett and Anna!

I was really tired and fell asleep during dinner, and when I woke up, my head was all sweaty, so Mommy gave me my "Punk Baby" hairstyle.

I was a good baby! But after all that driving, I really didn't like my carseat any more!
