Picnic!

Daddy's away doing karate things, so tonight Mommy made us a special treat: a picnic! I got to eat outside, naked! How great is that? Oh, and dinner was yummy. Salmon cake, mmmm.

I experimented with different ways to eat. Lying down doesn't work so well!

Grammy and Granddaddy, I am SO EXCITED to come visit you tomorrow!!!!

Dancing on the big piano!

A friend found a video of people playing music on the big piano! They do it with their feet, not their hands -- just like at the Please Touch Museum. It is so cool -- I like to watch it over and over again and pretend I'm dancing around on the big piano too (maybe we'll get a video later).

Daddy's Day

Daddy wanted a special trip with us to the Please Touch Museum for Father's Day. So we went! I LOOOOVE the Please Touch Museum!!! I did all my favorite things: ride the bus, go grocery shopping, play doctor... and then we did some other fun special things. I enjoyed the Alice in Wonderland part -- I love sticking my head through things!

Look, Uncle Michael, I'm a Marine like you! See, I can do the crawly thing and the swinging thing.

There was this really neat giant piano that you played by stomping on it.* It was GREAT!

And I got to ride the carousel -- twice!! (Thank you, nice lady who gave us an unused ticket!) Wheeeee! The first time I rode a pretty horse, and the second time I rode a cat with a bird in its mouth.

We had a really fun time. Happy Bother's Day, Dad!**

* Yes, it IS the piano from the movie "BIG"! We thought it was pretty cool too.
** We think she doesn't know the word Father or something.... Whenever she said "Happy Father's Day," that's how it came out....

A new game!

I like to play a new game called hide and seek. It makes me giggle and shriek a lot. Look, I'm hiding!!!

My really exciting day!

Earlier this week, I had a really really REALLY exciting day. First I got to go to the fun play place*. Then Mommy took me to the ZOO!! Hurray! I got to see all my favorite animals!** The peacock even let me sit next to him! Isn't he pretty?

And I finally got to go down the slide from the giant eagles' nest. I was a little scared at first and had to hold Mommy's hand, but I told Mommy that next time I would do it all by myself.

And then we got to go find Daddy and eat lunch at a restaurant! I love eating at restaurants. There were lots of other people there*** and I had lots of fun being the center of attention. My new friends at Stephanie and Jeff. Stephanie is a really nice lady and I sat on her lap and gave her hugs and kisses bye-bye. Jeff is my friend because he shared his dessert (with whipped cream on top!!!) with me! (Actually, Stephanie stole some for me, and then Jeff shared some more. It's because I'm so cute.)

Phew! After that I had to go take a nap.

When I woke up, Mommy and I baked lemon bars! Mmmmm, yummy. I helped. I'm a good mixer.

And THEN!! my best pal Joanna came over after dinner to play with me and do bedtime with me. Mommy and Daddy went away. I made them. I wanted Joanna all to myself!

Thanks for all the fun, Mommy and Daddy!

* babysitting at the Y
** i.e., all of them. No kidding. We were there for an hour, and she tore around and saw just about everything.

Rain, rain, rain

This afternoon it rained and rained and RAINED! I like it a lot: Mommy and Daddy and I sat on the porch for a while and watched it. There was thunder too -- I like thunder. Crash boom BANG!

This is the life...

Sitting on the couch with a good book and a snack: life doesn't get much better!

Knights and castles

Yesterday Mommy got me a big box of Playmobil stuff, with knights and castles! I'm very excited about it. Right now I'm just playing with all the people and horses and cows, because the castle pieces were dirty, and I helped Mommy wash them this morning, and we have to wait for them to dry, and then maybe we can put them together and make a castle!

Danika's playset

I went over to play with Danika on her new playset! Isn't it so cool? I liked it a lot, especially the swings. Too bad our yard isn't big enough! Grammy and Granddaddy, you should get me one.....
