My friend Sam

My buddy Sam comes over every once and a while to play with me. Today we blew bubbles! I like bubbles A LOT. They are so neat.

Lookit what we found!!!

Mommy and I were out watering the garden this morning, and look at this cucumber we found!! Wow! I carried it around and showed it to our neighbor.

Party, party!

This afternoon we went to Daddy's company picnic. I was a little scared at first, but then I ended up having a good time. There was a magician who had a real live bunny rabbit!


The nice magician also made me a purple balloon doggie, isn't he neat?


I carried him around for a while, until Mommy gave me my first sno-cone. Mmmm, ice. (Mommy says, it was just ice. Joy loves ice.)


I also played "musical squares," where everyone ran around and stepped on the squares when the music played, and stopped when the music stopped, and it was a lot of fun. I got so excited after a few rounds, that I forgot to run around stepping on the squares and instead just ran away!


And then... I got to go swimming all by myself!! There was a big pool that was only up to my waist! It was great!

I am soooo tired now....

Who, me, weird? Nah.

Grammy, I love, love, love my Warm Bear. I have to sleep with it all the time now. It makes me happy!

My new little friend

Today I met a new friend, baby Charlotte! She is our neighbor Janet's granddaughter. She is very little, but she has hands and feet and a belly and a nose and a mouth and a chin. I checked, very carefully. Otherwise, she's kinda boring (sorry, Charlotte!) -- but I bet I can play with her when she gets bigger!

A new dress

Hey, Aunt Joanie, look, I'm wearing the dress you gave me! I like it 'cause it has a turtle and polka dots. Thanks!

Ungle Mignul

Today I woke up from my nap and I was thinking of Uncle Michael (again!). I said to Mommy, "Uncle Michael. Oo ah. Swing, push!" Uncle Michael, when do I get to play with you again? I think about you every day!!

Ice cream, ice cream, yum

Today we had ice cream with our friend Jane. I ate a whole sundae just for me. Yum!

A new stroller!

My friend Jessica gave me her baby doll stroller, and I love it SOOO much! I drive it 'round and 'round and 'round the house.

Swimmy swimmy!

I got to go swimming two days in a row!! I like swimming. I was asking to go swimming all week. I'm good at kicking and reaching and pulling! Now if only I could figure out how to keep from going under....

Summer stylin'

I had on this really cute little sundress, but I decided that it wasn't really my style. But I did need a hat to complete the look. Besides, isn't this how you're supposed to dress in the summer?

Licky licky

It's hot, so sometimes I get lucky and Mommy gives me a popsicle. Mmmmmmmmango, yum!

Train choo choo!

I got the bestest toy today: a wooden train with pieces you can take off!!! I drive it around saying, "train choo chooooo!" Granddaddy, when are you going to make me more stacking things? I like to take things apart and put them back together.

My first carnival

Yesterday we went to my first carnival. I liked it: there were lots of kids running around, and lights, and these big things that went round and round with the kids riding in them. I even played my first carnival game (well, okay, Daddy played it for me) and won a fish hat! How cool is that?

Because you asked...

..here I am saying, "More, p'ease." I'm too tired to be very excited, even though I'm asking for more water ice, mmmmm.

FIREWORKS!!

Sorry this is so late, everyone! We've been busy. On Thursday, I stayed up late (so this is what it's like when it's dark out!) so we could go see FIREWORKS!!! We walked all the way there --


And here I am, sitting with Mommy.


The fireworks were SO AMAZING! At first I cried a lot because they were so loud, but I hung on to Daddy and sucked my binkie, and it was more okay. Soon I was yelling, "Yaay, lights!!" and "Wow!" I liked the ones that weren't so loud better. All the big lights in the sky were so pretty! More, p'ease!!

One of my favorite activities is to name people in the pictures on our family wall. I can name Nana Sue, Papa, Alex, Nick, Aunt Marian, Mama, Daddy, Nellie, Uncle Michael, Granddaddy, and Grammy! (I get very excited about the last three!) (Aunt Megan, we need a picture of you!!)
