Lookit!!

J, J, look at me!!! Now I have a backpack just like yours, except mine's a LION! Raarr!

Joy takes a hike

Yesterday afternoon, me and Mommy and Molly took a hike along the Wissahickon Creek.

My favorite parts were the bridges! They're fun to run on.

And then I made Mommy carry me....

Me and Aunt Megan

Aunt Megan and I had lots of fun at Peach Glen! We are super-stylin' --

The best part was when Granddaddy gave me a really really big box, and Mommy made it into a CASTLE!!!! It was so cool. Aunt Megan and I colored it, and we played in it.

Aunt Megan, I'm sad that you and Uncle Michael will be so far away! But we can always talk on the phone!

Peach Glen!

Mommy and I are visiting at Peach Glen again! Here's me and Grammy and Molly, checking out the tadpoles in the pond. Aunt Megan's here too, yay!

I can write!

I can write my name! All by myself! J-O-Y spells Joy!! That's me!

*No kidding. We don't help her at all.

Take me out to the ball game....

Today we went to a baseball game! I had fun (even though I was really really tired). I ate a hot dog with ketchup. When I grow up, I'm gonna play baseball! The man throws the ball, and the other man hits the ball and makes it go way way way fast, and then everyone runs around. But you have to watch out and not get hit in the head with the ball, cuz that'll give you an owie.*

* This was pretty much her description of our outing to Nana Sue, Papa, and Grammy!

I can do it!

This morning I got dressed all by myself! What? Don't you think Daddy's t-shirt is fetching?

Visit from Nana Sue and Papa

I loved having Nana Sue and Papa visit. It was warm and sunny, so we got to go outside and play a lot. Also, they would read to me as much as I wanted!! It was great.

Updating...

I know, it's been a long time since I posted here -- we've been very, very busy!! Nana Sue and Papa came to visit (come again soon, it was so much fun!!), and then I went out to Peach Glen to stay with Grammy and Granddaddy for almost a whole week, and one night I was there all by myself with just Grammy and Granddaddy and no Mommy or Daddy! That was very exciting. I didn't miss them. And a few days ago, I actually told Mommy that I needed to use the potty, and I DID! And THEN Mommy measured me to see how tall I've gotten because my clothes don't fit, and I've grown half an inch in the past month! Now I'm bigger, so I can go to school!!!*

We'll post some pictures sometime soon, promise....

* Editor's note: I told Joy that she would get to go to school (this fall) when she got a little bigger, the above was her very first excited response to being told she'd grown!
