Bollywood baby

The other night we went over to visit Charu and Ajit, and I learned all about how to be a good little Indian girl. I ran around a lot and learned to say namaste and to count to ten in Hindi and danced to Bollywood music videos and then I stuffed my face with lots of yummy Indian food, like chana masala and chappati. (See, I'm even wearing a sparkly bindi!)

I also shared with Charu.

The bestest part was when Kandu (Charu's mommy) drew on Mommy's hand with henna! Wow. It was really neat. And then Charu drew a sun on MY hand!! Too bad we had to wipe it off. Mommy's hand has a neat tattoo now!

Charu is my friend! Don't worry, Charu, I won't forget you! We'll come visit again at Christmas.

Warm and fuzzy

Coming to Peach Glen makes me SOOOO happy. Especially since Grammy got me a fuzzy blue bathrobe to wear after showertime! Here I am doing a happy bathrobe dance....

Go to a dance!

Last night, Mommy took me to a dance! I was really excited about going and seeing all my friends and listening to music. I ran around a lot and danced with Mommy, which made me shriek, and the best part was that there was a train table! I played with that a lot. Oh, wait, the best part was after the dancing: we got to eat ice cream, yum yum yum. I ate chocolate ice cream and pink* ice cream and green** ice cream. Everybody thought I was wonderful!

TRAIN!!!

Mommy and I had a really exciting day! I got to ride on the TRAIN! It was pretty neat. The train made lots of noise, and I had to climb up the really big steps, but then I got to sit on a big seat and look out the window and talk to a nice man who thought I was cute. Then we got off the train and walked to a TOY STORE! Wow, it was so much fun. There were nice ladies who let me play with all kinds of toys, like trains and stuffed dinosaurs. It was a long time before Mommy managed to drag me out -- I didn't even want to leave to go eat, it was so exciting! So then we had a little snack and walked back to the train station. And then the train came, and we rode the train back home. I had a special train ticket and everything! When we got off the train, the nice conductor helped me down the big steps, and I hollered, "THANK YOU!" and "Bye bye, train!" It was great trip. I would like to ride the train every day, please.

Zoo!

This morning we went to the Elmwood Park Zoo for a little while. I got to pet the goats! They have big horns that feel neat. I love the zoo!! I was so sad that I cried when Mommy and Daddy made us leave -- but then we had lunch, and I got to eat french fries!

My friend Cathryn came over today, and we played and played and played together. It was LOTS of fun! And Mommy and Melissa and J all made lots and lots of applesauce for us to eat, mmmmm.

Happy Birfday to you dear Barbara

Saturday was Miss Barbara's birthday, and we all went over to help her celebrate. I ate yummy yummy cake and helped Barbara with her presents. There was an eensy little baby there -- his name is Aydin. I wasn't too interested in him, but then when he was in his carseat while his mommy and daddy were getting ready to go, he was crying, and I was worried. I tried to get him to play with his toy, and then Mommy showed me how I could gently rock him, and he liked that! So I rocked him very carefully for a while. I'm a big helper, you know.
