Story time at the library

I had such a good time at storytime today!! My friend Aida was there (she's a big girl -- 2!), and I grabbed her hand and made her dance with me when Miss Michelle was singing. And Miss Michelle shared a Robert Sabuda pop-up book with us, and it was so wonderful I had to shriek and laugh a lot. Also, I colored my first coloring sheet! I still tried to eat the crayon, but I did color some first. Wow. It was so much fun that I came home and went right to sleep!

New shoes!

Check it out: I got TWO new pairs of shoes today! Since I'm a crazy walker now, Mommy and Daddy got me shoes for really tromping around in so my feet don't get cold or wet or anything. I'm ready to for anything in these stompy new boots! Stomp stomp stomp. And look, Grammy, I have New Balance sneakers just like you -- except that they're really little. And pink.

Walking maniac!

I've really got this walking thing down! I love to walk! Walk walk walk walk..... Sometimes I walk so fast I fall over!

New word

I've learned a new sign! Today at lunch, I pointed at the Christmas tree and signed LIGHTS, and Mommy went over and turned on the happy colored lights for me! I was so excited!

Stuck duck

For some reason, my rubber duckie decided to eat my face! That's okay; I think it's pretty funny.

Playground!

It's been really warm here, so yesterday I got to go play at a big playground! My big friends Barbara and Steve and Amanda were there to play with me too. It was so cool! I crawled through a big tube

and played in the sand!

That was my favorite part. I put sand from one bucket into another bucket and gave some to Amanda. I also really liked watching all the other kids! There were a lot of them. I hope we get to go back soon!

Sign of the Baby

Yesterday afternoon I was kinda grumpy, so I went up to Daddy and signed "EAT." And he said, "Oh! You're hungry. Let's feed you dinner." And that's just what I wanted and life was better. This communication stuff is magic!

Happy New Year!

This past weekend we went to Rhode Island for Uncle Michael and Aunt Megan's wedding. I had SO MUCH FUN. I walked on the beach and played with Scarlett and got hugs and kisses from lots and lots of people. I made a new friend, my sort-of cousin Mackenzie (she is almost exactly 1 month younger than me!). We were the Blonde Bombshells!

I spent a lot of the weekend being very tired....
...in the car (that's my new pal, Louella the Lobster)...

...before the wedding...

...and at the reception, when I finally conked out on Granddaddy. I liked snuggling with him.

Besides, he had fun, clinky things on his chest.

Here's Aunt Megan with all her Marines! (Uncle Michael's the one on the left -- isn't he cute?)

The Marines all liked me a lot and wanted to dance with me! I flirted with all of them.

Thanks for a great party, Uncle Michael and Aunt Megan! We'll try to come visit soon.
