The three stooges

Tonight we went to a latke party at my friend Joanna's house. I like parties!! And my buddies Cathryn and Sam were there! We ran around and ate lots and lots of crackers. Wheeeee!

(Editor's note: Yes, it was the miracle shot of the decade -- three toddlers, still and smiling and not blinking long enough to take a picture!!)

I am TWO!!

Thanks for the great party, Aunt Laura and Uncle Jeff and cousin Nicole and cousin Amber!

(I know we're lame for not posting a long time -- it's been a crazy, crazy week here. And very, very exciting. Santa! Parades! Birthdays! Please Touch Museum! Party party PARTY!!! Oh, and CHRISTMAS!!! I am sooo excited.)

Playtime!

This morning I went over to play with my friend Danika -- she and her daddy come to storytime, and she's almost the same age as me. I liked to play with all of Danika's toys! And Danika's daddy read stories to us, and then Mommy and I went and found my Daddy and we had lunch with him! It was a very exciting morning.

Christmas Joy

I'm all ready for Christmas! See my cute sparkly Christmas shirt? Mommy says I had to wear it today because it's 60 degrees and raining out. Mommy says it's "ironic." Dunno what that means -- I just like my sparkly shirt and Christmas pants!

Bollywood baby

The other night we went over to visit Charu and Ajit, and I learned all about how to be a good little Indian girl. I ran around a lot and learned to say namaste and to count to ten in Hindi and danced to Bollywood music videos and then I stuffed my face with lots of yummy Indian food, like chana masala and chappati. (See, I'm even wearing a sparkly bindi!)

I also shared with Charu.

The bestest part was when Kandu (Charu's mommy) drew on Mommy's hand with henna! Wow. It was really neat. And then Charu drew a sun on MY hand!! Too bad we had to wipe it off. Mommy's hand has a neat tattoo now!

Charu is my friend! Don't worry, Charu, I won't forget you! We'll come visit again at Christmas.

Warm and fuzzy

Coming to Peach Glen makes me SOOOO happy. Especially since Grammy got me a fuzzy blue bathrobe to wear after showertime! Here I am doing a happy bathrobe dance....

Saturday, November 22

Go to a dance!

Last night, Mommy took me to a dance! I was really excited about going and seeing all my friends and listening to music. I ran around a lot and danced with Mommy, which made me shriek, and the best part was that there was a train table! I played with that a lot. Oh, wait, the best part was after the dancing: we got to eat ice cream, yum yum yum. I ate chocolate ice cream and pink* ice cream and green** ice cream. Everybody thought I was wonderful!

TRAIN!!!

Mommy and I had a really exciting day! I got to ride on the TRAIN! It was pretty neat. The train made lots of noise, and I had to climb up the really big steps, but then I got to sit on a big seat and look out the window and talk to a nice man who thought I was cute. Then we got off the train and walked to a TOY STORE! Wow, it was so much fun. There were nice ladies who let me play with all kinds of toys, like trains and stuffed dinosaurs. It was a long time before Mommy managed to drag me out -- I didn't even want to leave to go eat, it was so exciting! So then we had a little snack and walked back to the train station. And then the train came, and we rode the train back home. I had a special train ticket and everything! When we got off the train, the nice conductor helped me down the big steps, and I hollered, "THANK YOU!" and "Bye bye, train!" It was great trip. I would like to ride the train every day, please.

Zoo!

This morning we went to the Elmwood Park Zoo for a little while. I got to pet the goats! They have big horns that feel neat. I love the zoo!! I was so sad that I cried when Mommy and Daddy made us leave -- but then we had lunch, and I got to eat french fries!

Happy Birfday to you dear Barbara

Saturday was Miss Barbara's birthday, and we all went over to help her celebrate. I ate yummy yummy cake and helped Barbara with her presents. There was an eensy little baby there -- his name is Aydin. I wasn't too interested in him, but then when he was in his carseat while his mommy and daddy were getting ready to go, he was crying, and I was worried. I tried to get him to play with his toy, and then Mommy showed me how I could gently rock him, and he liked that! So I rocked him very carefully for a while. I'm a big helper, you know.

Trick or treat!!

So, okay, Mommy and Daddy have been explaining to me all week that on Halloween I would get dressed up in my ladybug costume (so exciting!) and go to people's houses and say "trick or treat" -- and that they would give me candy?? I wasn't believing them.

So tonight I put on my ladybug costume (isn't it neat?)

and took my pumpkin bucket and walked with Daddy

over to my friend Janet's house and said "trick or treat" and "candy, please"

AND SHE GAVE ME CANDY!! (Don't worry, I say "thank you" too.)

This is the bestest day ever. I have a lollipop, yum!

And then we went home and sat on the step and I helped give candy to other kids. That was a lot of fun too. I hollered at the kids to come, I said, "Kids come here, candy!" I can pick up the whole bowl of candy!

At first, when the kids came, I gave them just one piece, but then I really got into it and gave everyone big fistfuls of candy. It was just SO exciting. I was really sad when Mommy and Daddy said the kids were all done and it was time for bed.

I love Halloween!!!

Wednesday, October 29

Bathing beauty

I have decided that lounging in the tub is way better than just sitting there. Besides, it makes Mommy and Daddy laugh.

Tuesday, October 28

Look out, naked bottom!

Today it was horrible and rainy and snowy and windy and cold (all at once!), so Mommy and I stayed home (except for morning swim class, hurray!). So I had to do the naked bottom dance. Yeah!

Sunday, October 26

Aunt Megan!

Aunt Megan came to visit today AND we went and got pumpkins! It was a very exciting day, and I was pretty hyper by bedtime. I shrieked a lot. I was also being a big show-off for Aunt Megan. We'll post more pictures tomorrow -- right now it's Mommy's bedtime....

Friday, October 24

Ladybugs and apples

Today my friend Miss Barbara came to visit, and she read to me! The book had ladybugs in it, so I had to have my spiffy new ladybug pillow with me. Really, I'm there. Behind the book. See my little feet?

Also, today I showed Mommy and Daddy what a big girl I am: I can eat a whole apple all by myself! Grammy, Granddaddy, I told you I was going to eat them alllll up! YUM!

Wednesday, October 22

Yuuuuuv chickens!

I love the chickens soooo much. They are my friends. And they lay eggs. Yum!

And here's me and my buddy Dusty Dog in Granddaddy's shop. I'm eating a pepper I got out of Grammy's garden. Yum!

Also, today I learned that apples grow on trees. How neat is that? I picked SEVEN apples off the tree. Yum!

Tuesday, October 21

FIRE!

Granddaddy made a fire for us tonight, yay! I helped, and it was soooo exciting.

Saturday, October 18

More big helper

And this morning I helped Mommy bake the cookies! My job was to shake the little balls of dough in a big bag a of sugar. I did a good job. And the cookies are SO yummy! Mommy only let me have one -- the rest are to share at the dance tonight (hurray, a dance!).

Friday, October 17

Big helper!

This afternoon I helped Mommy make cookies. I sat on the counter and tasted all kinds of things. My job was to turn the mixer on and off -- so cool!

Like I said, I tasted lots of stuff, including flour, which Mommy said I wouldn't like, but she was wrong!

I can't wait till we bake them tomorrow. So long to wait!

Monday, October 13

So much fun!

Whew, what a weekend! Yesterday Mommy and I went to a dance, oh boy oh boy, it was so much fun, and I cried when Mommy made us leave. We were having too much fun to take any pictures....

And then we went to visit Uncle Jeff and Aunt Laura and cousin Nicole and Grammy and Granddaddy were there! So I got to watch football (gooooo Eagles!!) while snuggling with Granddaddy. Life doesn't get much better.

And I played a lot with my bestest cousin Nicole. She threw a purple ball for me and made me shriek a lot.

Today I slept in and just hung out. I am a worn out kiddo!

Saturday, October 11

Sam's birthday party

Today we went to my friend Sam's house, because it's his birthday! I had a lot of fun. I did crafts (here I'm sticking stickers on pretend binoculars)...

...I played with PlayDoh -- that stuff is awesome! ...

...I rode around in Sam's super-nifty truck wagon...

...and of course, I ate cake. It was delicious.

The other kids ran around and screamed a lot. Me, I ate cake. Mmmmmm.

Thanks for the fun party, Sam!
